This 16 AWG, 2-conductor solid fire alarm cable is for installers wiring indoor fire alarm audio, control, initiating, and notification circuits. Supplied on a 1,000-foot spool, it provides a red-jacketed cable option for fire alarm system wiring runs.

The cable has bare copper conductors with PVC insulation, a PVC outer jacket, and a twisted-pair or cabled construction. It includes an overall aluminum-polyester foil shield with 100% coverage and a tinned copper drain wire, with polyester binders and PVC fillers as required. Rated NEC Type FPLR, it meets the 300-volt requirement specified in NEC Article 760 for indoor applications.
