Thermostat Limit Switches

Thermostat limit switches are temperature-responsive control components used in HVAC, electric heating, heater and dryer applications. This category includes adjustable thermostats that open or close circuits as temperatures rise, manual-reset rollout and fan limit controls, and sequencers that coordinate staged fan and heat operation in compatible heating and air-conditioning control systems.

Start by matching the control type to the required function. Adjustable airflow thermostats close on temperature rise and are available with 90°F to 130°F settings, while adjustable open-on-rise models are offered in 120°F to 140°F, 135°F to 175°F and 175°F to 215°F ranges. For fixed-limit needs, compare the 300 temperature-designation manual rollout cutout with the 180°F snap disc fan limit control, including reset method, circuit action and mounting requirements. For electric heat staging, select a 24V fan and heat sequencer with M1-M2 timing and a five-second delay where compatible. Also verify terminal style, dimensions, switching configuration, listed replacement compatibility and whether features such as manual reset or CSA listing are needed.
