This 14 AWG, 2-conductor solid fire alarm cable is for installers and electrical professionals wiring indoor fire alarm system circuits. Its 1,000-foot spool supports runs for audio, control, initiating, and notification circuits in ducts, plenums, and other environmental-air spaces.
The red cable has bare copper conductors with polymer alloy insulation, polyester binders, and twisted-pair or cabled construction. A flexible plenum jacket surrounds an overall aluminum-polyester foil shield with 100% coverage and a tinned copper drain wire. It is NEC Type FPLR and meets the 300-volt requirement specified in NEC Article 760.
