Water Flow Valves & Switches

Water flow valves and switches help commercial and industrial teams monitor liquid movement, control electrically operated equipment in response to water flow, and vent compatible water or glycol mains. Common uses include HVAC, heating, hydronic, air-conditioning, refrigeration, facility maintenance, water-main, and process applications. Flow switches can support control or monitoring connections for devices such as signal lights, alarms, motors, automatic burners, and metering devices, while water main vent valves provide a venting solution with a safety drain connection.

Choose first between a flow switch for detecting or responding to liquid flow and a water main vent valve for venting compatible hot- or cold-water, glycol, or process mains. For flow switches, compare the required NPT connection size, including 1/2 in., 1 in., and 1-1/4 in. options, and confirm whether an inline design or paddle-equipped switch fits the installation. Paddle models may include 1, 2, 3, and 6 in. stainless steel paddles; some models also offer adjustable flow sensitivity, SPDT switching, dual electrical knockouts, sealed bellows, and NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, or Type 4X enclosures. Verify stated pressure needs where applicable, such as a 160 psi maximum-pressure switch. For vent valves, check the 3/4 in. NPT straight shank, 1/8 in. NPT safety drain port, removable body, built-in check valve, and operating limits of up to 150 psig and 250°F.
