This automatic gas vent damper is designed for heating appliance vent systems using 24 VAC, 60 Hz intermittent ignition or standing-pilot ignition. It opens during a call for heat to allow flue gases to pass through the vent and closes during off cycles to limit airflow through the vent.
Constructed of stainless steel, this 10-inch damper installs in the vent pipe after the draft hood or barometric control. Its motor rotates the damper 90 degrees to open or close in approximately 15 seconds. Dual safety switches permit burner operation only when the damper is fully open, and a hold-open switch supports service and troubleshooting. The keyed wiring harness connector installs in one orientation.
