This button-style magnet is for maintenance and assembly buyers who need a compact magnetic component that can be mounted through its center hole. Its split magnetic surface provides magnetic holding capability in installed applications.
Made from an aluminum-nickel-cobalt (AlNiCo) combination, this non-shielded magnetic system is produced by casting. The 0.51 in. diameter magnet has a through hole and an iron plate on its magnetic surface for handling and demagnetization protection. It is temperature resistant to 535°F; its red lacquered finish is temperature resistant to 355°F. Use non-magnetic mounting screws so magnetic force is not impaired.
