The detector measures moisture content through electrical resistance and is designed for sawn timber, sheet rock, cardboard, paper, plaster, concrete, and mortar. It has a blue impact-proof plastic housing, a belt clip, replaceable contact pins, built-in measurement verification and battery check functions, a low-battery indicator, and automatic shutoff. Operating temperature is 32 to 104°F, with an operating humidity range of 0 to 85%. A protective cap and 3 CR2032 batteries are included.
