This articulating arm magnetic base supports test indicators and dial gauges during measurement and inspection work. It helps machinists and inspectors position a gauge securely on ferrous workpieces or machine tables.
The arm has three articulating joints controlled by a single locking knob and a 150° working range. Its magnetic base is switched on or off with a rotary knob and provides 132 lb (60 kg) of magnetic pull when engaged. The base measures 60 x 50 x 55 mm and includes precision contact surfaces with a bottom V. It accepts dovetail-clamp test indicators and holds dial gauges by a 3/8 in. or 8 mm stem or by a lug back plate.
