This soft-face sledge hammer is built for professionals handling demanding striking tasks where protecting the struck surface is important. Its 8 lb head provides substantial striking force for automotive, mining, railroad, metalworking, and agricultural work.
The hammer has an 8 lb steel head and a 30 in handle. Spring steel bars within the handle are secured to the head with a steel locking plate. An ergonomic rubber grip helps absorb vibration during use. The steel head is induction hardened and tempered to 30–35 HRC.
